Born and raised in a family of artists in Gdańsk, Poland. After graduating from the Fine Art School of Gdynia-Orłowo with a major in Photography, she moved to New York City to continue her studies at the School of Visual Arts.

Now based in Westchester New York, Izabela focuses on capturing fleeting moments and subtle details in everyday surroundings that often go unnoticed. Her work explores the relationship between nature and human-made environments, questioning how we perceive and reflect upon the world around us. Through this dialogue between the seen and unseen, she reflects on humanity’s longing to belong to and coexist with nature in a rapidly changing, modern reality.

In her recent work, Izabela combines photography with mixed media, layering and blending diverse materials to create multidimensional compositions. Each piece begins with a photograph that provides structure and realism, then evolves through the addition of painted gestures, organic elements, and contemporary finishes such as resin. The resulting works merge photographic precision with expressive abstraction—transforming a captured moment into a new visual experience that exists between reality and imagination.
